Describe the problem

I have a clear and easy setup. I have two VPS: one hosting netbird and one being a docker host I have multiple containers, like nextcloud, vaultwarden etc.

I have a default netbird config, I only added the docker host to netbird and also my PC.

I want to use the Reverse Proxy feature, I added the docker network and everything to netbird but cant access the network for the proxy feature. But a direct IP Access to the docker container works fine.

What do I need to add for this setup to work?

Expected behavior

Direct Proxy Access to the subnet.

Are you using NetBird Cloud?

Self Hosted

NetBird version

Management v0.65.3
Dashboard v2.32.5

Is any other VPN software installed?

Only netbird and a disabled tailscale and wireguard on the server

Have you tried these troubleshooting steps?

  • Reviewed client troubleshooting (if applicable)
  • Checked for newer NetBird versions
  • Searched for similar issues on GitHub (including closed ones)
  • Restarted the NetBird client
  • Disabled other VPN software
  • Checked firewall settings

Same problem here with Management/Agent 0.66.4 and Dashboard 2.34.2.
How does the Netbird reverse-proxy resolve the container names in such a setup?
