Split tunneling
I use windscribe which allows me to select which of the apps use the VPN. This is particularly useful when you want certain apps to use the VPN. This becomes a deadly combination with self hosted VPN server, give ultimate control over apps as well as data.

Describe the solution you'd like
Just look at windscribe VPN, they provide opensource desktop app. Ability to do inclusive or exclusive really helps. Turning on and off split tunneling

Describe alternatives you've considered
I have been using windscribe with custom config.

I second this request. I have an app on my Android phone that will not connect to my Sony camera when the phone is connected to Netbird. Tailscale also has this feature and it works great.
