There were issues similar to this already, but I wanted to make a more general one to hopefully have a discussion about this.
Given how this blocklist is presented as being for the purpose of cleaning search engines from low-effort sludge, I think it's a bit excessive and borderline user-hostile to include websites and tools like Hugging Face or ChatGPT in the main list even if they do not pollute search results just because they're related to or powered by AI.
This is a pretty nuanced topic and I myself have some pretty strong opinions on which tools I think should or should not exist that I won't get into right now, but I think it would be a good idea to move the websites people actively seek out (or at least the less egregious ones) to the nuclear list, or alternatively maybe have a "Lite" version that only blocks the SEO spam. I'd be more than willing to help out because other than that, this list is great.

I agree fully. I want to remove AI generated slop sites not information about AI as a technology.

Yes blocking legitimate businesses that offer things including or relating to AI is way off target for this kind of list. There are domains which do nothing but hosts millions of tiny pngs to flood seach results, that's what this list should be about. Alternatively, if @laylavish is not open to this, whitelisting the likely few AI tools you use should be very easy no matter what network level blocker you're using.

Also agree. I would like a list that does not include query tools like Perplexity, ChatGPT, etc

If you're using uBlacklist, it has a feature to unblock specific sites which were blocked by a list you're subscribing to.
Personally, i only use it for huggingface.co, since a lot of very useful machine-learning models are shared there (OCR, speech recognition, text/image classification).
to unblock, add it in your personal list prefixed with an @:

It's important to note that some people have objections to the concept of generative AI itself (such as its high environmental impact and supposed copyright infringement), and may want to block generative AI tools too. That said, its not too hard to unblock the tools you want to keep.
