Have you read and understood the above guidelines?

yes

📜 What is the name of the script you are using?

Docker LXC

📂 What was the exact command used to execute the script?

bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/main/ct/docker.sh)"

⚙️ What settings are you using?

  • Default Settings
  • Advanced Settings

🖥️ Which Linux distribution are you using?

Debian 12

📝 Provide a clear and concise description of the issue.

I ran the script with verbose and after the container is created, i get the logs in the section below.

I guess this is needed for docker setup, but it just can't seem to pass that step.

🔄 Steps to reproduce the issue.

Step 1:

Run the script (with default verbose)

Step 2:

Wait until the "customizing LXC container" step

Step 3:

Errors

Paste the full error output (if available).

Temporary failure resolving 'deb.debian.org' You have Network problems, you are not able to access the Debian repo.

@michelroegl-brunner The weird thing is, one of the containers got set up but without docker and I can indeed access the Debian repo:

root@dockerst:~# apt-get update
Hit:1 http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm InRelease
Hit:2 http://security.debian.org bookworm-security InRelease
Hit:3 http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm-updates InRelease
Reading package lists... Done

So it shouldn't be a problem there (?)

Thank you for the quick response!

Problem where exactly? I'm not really sure what you want us to tell you? Your container cant reach debian repo at times. Check your network

By default, the script assumes that you are using a DHCP server to give the container an IP. In the initial install menu, instead of selecting Default, select Advanced, and then you can specify a static IP after a few prompts.

This seems like an easy enough thing to fix. Just have the script first prompt the user for network settings or DHCP.

The problem was that the dhcp server was full and I couldn't get any IP assigned to the machine. Fixed, thank you!
