✍️ Description

  • Note: this is for merging into the 'python_to_uv' branch
  • Simplifies UV use in Immich install & update. Creates the venv, but there's no need to activate during build
  • Uses Python 3.11. Using PYTHON_VERSION in the setup_uv function caused permissions issues due to the immich services being run by the immich user. And Immich doesn't officially support Python 3.12 yet.
  • Restores python3-dev package. Without it, machine-learning fails to build.
  • Both install and update were tested and work
