I am seeking guidance on configuring networks for peer-to-peer (P2P) connections between specific peers in our setup. Specifically, I need the peers in the upper part of the attached illustration to establish P2P connections with peer X, located in the lower part of the illustration. Connections among the peers in the upper part can remain relayed.

Constraints:

  • We have limited control over the firewalls and network configurations in the upper part, but we can request the network owners to implement certain minimum requirements.
  • Firewall X and its associated network configuration are fully controlled by us.

Questions:

  • What are the minimum network requirements (A) that the network owners in the upper part must implement to facilitate a P2P connection with peer X?
  • Given that peer 1's firewall and network are configured accordingly, what are the minimum requirements (B) that we should apply to the firewall and network of peer X to achieve a P2P connection between peer 1 and peer X?

If my questions reveal the gaps in my networking knowledge, please feel free to suggest alternative approaches.
