The little icon in the control panel say there is a new version of Netbird for android.
But the latest in the Google play store is V28.0.
How does one get the latest version if not from the playstore?

I have a similar question, when the mobile clients will be updated to v0.29 compatible? I would like to switch fully to a new relay server and ditch coturn.

Currently, coturn is still needed for mobile clients.

How do you see v0.28.0 on Google Play? Mine is still 0.24 and no updates available from Google Play.

This is also an issue. As @svardie states it is very confusing to have the graphical UI have a version number 0.0.24 while the actual Netbird is on version V. 0.28.0. The version in the playstore should have the Netbird verison number only.

Same here, I cant update to the latest version on my android. stuck at version 0.28 according to the dashboard. but the play store says 0.24 and so does the About notes in the netbird app. Also 0.24

Probably could use an update

Current version on Play Store is 0.0.27 (guess that's the GUI version?), dashboard says it's 0.34.0 (guess that's the core version?), both released on December 5, 2024.
Dashboard says 0.39.1 is available, when can we expect this to be pushed to the Play Store?

If Play Store policies are preventing regular / timely updates, please provide alternative installation methods (i.e. F-Droid, Obtainium).

We're planning a full rewrite into a native Android application this quarter, so it should become more maintainable & up to date as a result.

It is still a bit annoying to be stuck at 0.34 at android when networks were introduced at 0.35.
