SInce Client 0.31.0 When we updated to 0.32.0 and 0.33.0 all the configurations settings in the advanced settings box are lost. You have to fill out all the fields. Before the interface name and port were automatically filled in. Now all the fields are just blank.

hello @jadk9000, can you clarify how did you install NetBird on your macOS peers? We extensively test each release and we can't replicate this issue.
I've tried both manual install (via package download) and via homebrew (which if you run the automated install script, will automatically choose brew as the install method, if present) and on updates between versions, settings are kept.
With this in mind, let us know how you installed the client to understand if there's something else that might be causing this behaviour on your end.

Hi Marco,

It’s a weird one, we install using a script in Jamf which is pretty basic. It seems to have affected 2 users only so far as I have stopped users upgrading until we can work this out. Its seems a re-install seems to cure the issue until a reboot when it loses its settings again. I’m trying to find where Netbird stores its settings to see if I can remove the file/directory to make sure its not a permissions issue.

The 2 affected users are on MacOS15. And all we are running is this to install

sudo installer -pkg /tmp/netbird-latest.pkg -target /

Thanks

Jad

Hi Marco,

Finaly found the solution.

We had disabled Wiretrustee UG at start up to troubleshoot some other errors. Re-enableing fixes the issue.

Thanks

Jad

Hello @nazarewk ,

I can confirm that the problem still persists.
We have one MacBook M4 that loses all settings after every reboot. Currently, the workaround is to reinstall Netbird.

We’ve determined that versions 0.38 and 0.39 are the most recent ones that still work.
All MacBooks are currently running on or bellow this versions.

While debugging, I had send you a debug message from the internal feature. Let me know if you need the hash of it or the files directly.

Best Regards
Lindholz

I can confirm that the issue was fixed around version 0.5x.
Currently, version 0.56.0 is in use and it doesn’t lose any configs.

From my side, this issue can be closed.
