Add support for Android TVs #344

Hi I'm curious if this will be released in the near future. It seems like it would be a fairly easy thing to do, just modifying the interface to suit a remote for android tv and would set NetBird apart from competitors, there's consumer and business use cases for this - for consumer using jellyfin/plex or other apps through android TV would become secure and easy to manage with no internet exposure needed, and for business they could have TVs that show advertisements or stats run through a VPN rather than pointing to a public URL.

Or at least provide a workaround that could allow me to complete the setup from a remote machine after inputting some random generated code on the netbird website would be acceptable workaround. The apk installed could just pull the configuration I generated or saved on the website.

I don't recall the exact words, but they mentioned it was not in their plans, simply.

It's good that a 3rd party app exists but a shame that NetBird aren't planning to do this themselves. For our particular use case, we are waiting for this and the mobile battery drain issues. We have been using Tailscale in the meantime as all these issues are addressed. I am hoping these things do get resolved as we are keen to look more at NetBird. Both teams seem to have very different priorities. An amalgamation of the two would be ideal!

Well now it makes more sense as to why they're less focused (or were) because a third party with more utility existed. Unfortunately I've already moved on to using tailscale for the time being as well.

Using Nvidia Shield Tube, I can not find Netbird on the Play Store.

On the netbird site it is mentioned that it is available.

APK releases are also available to install directly on your Android device via the NetBird GitHub repository.
